IoT and beyond…
Asas Stabil Sdn Bhd (ASSB)’s IoT division has developed an entire suite of IoT based devices and sensors namely the 5iR.Tech suite of products for IoT devices ranging from the all in one gateways to rugged sensor nodes ready to be dropped anywhere in the world!
5iR.Tech leverages on ASSB’s expertise in the networking and satellite industry to take IoT connectivity to the next level via a constellation of pocket sized Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites orbiting at about 500 kilometres above the earth. By expanding our networking capabilities to space, we are no longer concerned about line of sight to ensure connectivity to our gateways and our IoT Cloud Applications. We are able to send and receive signals/commands to and from our 5iR.Tech devices such as gateways and sensor nodes without the limitation of traditional IoT providers which are limited by the terrestrial coverage of their network such as WiFi, NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRa, Cellular and etc.
All 5iR.Tech gateways and sensor nodes are low powered devices and has the ability to go to deep sleep to conserve battery power and wake up automatically when the 5iR Pocket Cube Satellites (5iR.PCS) passes above. During this time, all 5iR.Tech devices wakes up and establishes communication with 5iR-PCS to send and receive data and commands.
We have micro ground stations in strategic locations such as Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Samoa, China, India, Egypt, Nigeria, Brazil, Canada and England to ensure the lowest latency possible for all of our customers.
